I am a Noosa based artist and have had over twenty years experience in design, mostly in clothing and soft furnishings.
Living in Noosa was a great inspiration and it also helped me appreciate our beautiful Australian coastline and I wanted people to see the beauty of shells, coral, weathered pieces of driftwood and the colours of the ocean.
I began to create pieces of artwork and handicrafts hopefully for people to have inspired art work in there homes that are not so perfect but are still beautiful..
As a result of the positive response I got to my products and artwork I began the label Seaside Chic in 2006 ,specialising in shell and coral mirrors, doorstops, an assortment of crosses and hurricane lamps and soft furnishings fundamentally in linen.
All pieces of artwork are handmade (no two pieces are alike) with individually sourced shells and coral.
The coral that I use is supplied by a licensed coral harvester who has specialized in this field for over 50 years. The coral is only harvested from specifically designated zones to ensure there is no long term impact on the reef.
